Sonakshi Sinha is all set to make her comeback with the psychological thriller Nikita Roy. The film is all set to be released in the theatres on June 27, 2025.
Apart from Sonakshi, the film also features Arjun Rampal, Paresh Rawal, and Suhail Nayyar. It is directed by Kussh S Sinha and produced by Nicky Vicky Bhagnani Films, Kratos Entertainment, and Nikita Pai Films Ltd.

While Nikita Roy marks Sonakshi Sinha’s return to a theatrical lead role, the actress has remained active on screen. It will be her first theatrical release this year after Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.
While details about Nikita Roy remain tightly under wraps, Bollywood buffs do not seem to be happy about Sonakshi’s choice of films.

A few are of the opinion that people may not even watch such films on OTT anymore. So, why take the bold move to release it in theatres.
Sonakshi is, undoubtedly, an excellent actress. But recently none of her projects could create the same magic like Dahaad and Heeramandi.

With no big stars, Nikita Roy does not have the potential to pull audiences to the big screen so easily. There are already three big releases in June, starting with Housefull 5. The next two will be Sitaare Zameen Par and Maa.
Housefull 5 has an ensemble star cast and Sitaare Zameen Par has Aamir Khan in the lead. None of them should be underestimated. Although Aamir’s last few films did not work, it has the potential to become a hit if the content leaves an impression.
Nikita Roy will clash with Maa on the same day. The latter is a horror film featuring Kajol in the lead and the trailer has created some excitement with the visuals and hidden suspense.
However, Nikita Roy’s results might turn out to be different if the content is up to the mark. So let’s wait until June 27 to find out what will happen.
