₹50 Cr for Action Scene with Flop Star? King-size Risk!

SRK King action sequence

Shah Rukh Khan is reportedly taking a major risk with his upcoming film King. The film is slated for a December 24 release and is expected to clash with strong competing releases.

Director Siddharth Anand is said to be going all out to deliver high-scale action. As part of this effort, a massive action sequence featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Abhishek Bachchan has been planned in Europe.

The action sequence alone is reported to have cost around Rs 50 crore. Shah Rukh Khan is said to be closely supervising the shoot to ensure the sequence stands out and delivers a thrilling cinematic experience.

While some viewers have expressed doubts due to Abhishek Bachchan not being widely associated with action roles, the makers believe this could be a turning point. The aim is to present him in a refreshed avatar.

A similar transformation was seen when Sandeep Reddy Vanga reintroduced Bobby Deol in Animal. The team behind King is reportedly hoping for a comparable impact.

Whether this expensive action gamble will pay off remains to be seen. Reports suggest the overall budget of King could be around Rs 350 crore, highlighting the scale of expectations attached to the project.

Apart from Shah Rukh Khan and Abhishek Bachchan, the film also stars Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Rani Mukherji in key roles. Audiences are now waiting to see if the action sequence becomes the film’s biggest highlight.
