Rajkummar Rao

Rajkummar Rao has recently confirmed yet another film. Yes, Rajkummar is reportedly teaming up with Shoojit Sircar for a two-hero comedy.

The filmmaker, who has directed films like Vicky Donor, Madras Café, Piku, October, and Sardar Udham Singh, is searching for another actor to join the project which is a two-hero comedy.

However, skeptical ones are a bit worried about why Rajkummar Rao gave a nod to Shoojit Sircar’s film. The filmmaker’s last film, I want to Talk, starring Abhishek Bacchan was a box office bomb.

Isn’t Rajkummar digging a grave for himself by saying yes to Shoojit’s next venture? Only time will tell.

Rajkummar himself could not charm the audience much with his last release, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, co-starring Tripti Dimri.

His upcoming film, Bhool Chuk Maaf, is also going to be released into the theatres soon. However, it has not grabbed much attention like other Maddock films including Stree and Munjya.

His film from last year, Stree 2, was able to collect 500 crore at the box office. However, the same did not happen for his subsequent films.

So, it’s high time that Rajkummar thinks twice before choosing his scripts to make his way into the audience’s hearts soon.

Considering that Rajkummar and Shoojit’s collaboration is happening, the latter has to get out of his comfort zone and start adding entertaining elements like we saw in Stree 2, which can also save the film from sinking at the box office.

Rajkummar Rao is not a big star and does not have a huge fan base. It is the content of his films that have pulled audiences. In case Shoojit focuses on content instead of other things, the film will work, or else there is no chance at all.
