Ramayana Latest Update is Scary: Another Adipurush?

Ramayana Budget Debate

Nitesh Tiwari seems to be taking a lot of care to ensure that his upcoming film Ramayana does not fail to leave a positive impression. The first glimpse that was released a few days ago has already managed to create some hype for the film.

As per the latest update, motion capture and VFX will be used for the creation of Lord Hanuman and the Vanar Sena. The designs will be completely original, and the VFX quality will be similar to what audiences have seen in films like Planet of the Apes.

The same VFX was used around two years ago in Adipurush and the result turned out to be very bad. Now things might take a worse turn if Nitesh makes the same promises and repeats the mistakes made in Adipurush.

Nitesh is undoubtedly trying to use the available budget, or will use some additional money in the film. But this is for a good reason, since Nitesh is aiming to bring a different kind of viewing experience for the audience.

The budget of the film is already creating headlines, with recent reports claiming that the combined budget of both films is almost Rs. 4,000 crores.

While the makers have not shared any statement on this claim, Ramayana is supposed to be the kind of cinema that Bollywood has possibly never attempted.

On the other hand, there is also a fear that a mistake of 1% can also lead to issues. Ramayana is close to the hearts of every Indian, and the makers have to make proper use of the time they are getting to see that everything is perfect.

Audiences will undoubtedly ignore the VFX of the film that appears unsatisfactory in certain places. But there will be bigger problems if the appearances of the characters or anything else get messed up in any manner.

Ramayana will be released in two parts in 2026 and 2027 on the occasion of Diwali. With only a year left for release, let’s wait and see if Nitesh Tiwari can deliver what he has promised.
