He is working on a Hindi adaptation of the French-Belgian film La Famille Bélier. Reports suggest that Raghav Juyal and Alizeh Agnihotri, Salman Khan’s niece, have been signed for the lead roles.
The film tells the story of a family of deaf parents and children, with only one hearing daughter who dreams of becoming a singer. The story’s emotional core, when adapted to an Indian setting, is expected to bring a unique flavour to the narrative.
The English adaptation of the same story, CODA, won multiple Oscars, raising expectations for the Hindi version.
Alizeh was last seen in Farrey, while Raghav Juyal is currently in the spotlight for The Ba**ds of Bollywood*. Their contrasting personalities Raghav’s charm and Alizeh’s innocence could make this pairing one to watch.
