Ramayana Actor’s Big Scam: Dark Past Exposed

Vivek Oberoi housing project controversy

Actor and businessman Vivek Oberoi has been giving interviews for his film Mastiii 4 and speaking about his role in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. He is set to play Vidyutjihva, the sorcerer and husband of Surpanakha.

While he speaks proudly about being part of a large religious film, attention has returned to a controversial episode from his past. The renewed scrutiny focuses on his business activities rather than his acting career.

In 2016, Vivek Oberoi’s company Karrm Infrastructure launched an affordable housing project under Mission 360 in Shahapur, Maharashtra. The plan promised five lakh homes for low-income families, each priced at around 7.90 lakh.

The project claimed to offer gated communities with facilities such as schools, hospitals, and clubs. It was promoted heavily across media platforms, a strategy that reports suggest continued even as concerns around delivery began to surface.

In 2017, promotion increased when Vivek Oberoi announced flats for families of 25 CRPF jawans killed in Sukma and for an acid attack survivor. These announcements attracted public attention and strengthened the project’s image.

Reports later stated that Phase 1 remained stuck at the plinth level since 2018. Phases 2 and 3 reportedly saw no development, with land still forested, despite money being collected from buyers.

According to reports, buyers paid between 30 percent and 100 percent of booking amounts. Allegations include forged Non-Agricultural land certificates and loans taken in buyers’ names without their knowledge, discovered only through affected CIBIL scores.

Marketed as Mission 360 with homes in 360 locations, the company allegedly shifted offices frequently. Phone numbers stopped working, emails went unanswered, and cheques reportedly bounced, leaving buyers without clarity or support.

At least three cases linked to affected families reportedly ended in suicide. Despite the seriousness of these allegations, Vivek Oberoi was reportedly never formally questioned and is now living in Dubai while continuing to receive film opportunities.
