Bollywood has roared back to life in the first half of 2025 and how! If expert reports are to be believed, the industry has delivered a record-breaking Rs. 5000+ crore business at the box office between January and June.
Yes, the last six months report for Bollywood has been excellent. In fact, 2024 was also amazing for the industry with top hits like Stree 2, which stunned everyone with a whopping Rs. 627 crore collection.
Following it were Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 (Rs. 278 crore), Singham Again (Rs. 268 crore), and Fighter (Rs. 205 crore). The success of these films once again proved the audience’s renewed love for theatrical experiences and mass entertainers.
But wait! The real fireworks might just be ahead.
The second half of 2025 looks even more promising with two mega-releases: War 2 and Jolly LLB 3.
War 2, featuring Hrithik Roshan and NTR Jr., is one of the most awaited action spectacles of the year. On the other hand, Jolly LLB 3 marks the return of Akshay Kumar in his fan-favourite courtroom avatar alongside Arshad Warsi. This could be the comeback Akshay fans have been waiting for, especially after a little disappointment with his earlier film Housefull 5.
