War 2 was promoted as one of the biggest action spectacles of the year, but fans say it did not live up to its promises. What was expected to be a thrilling sequel ended up being described as only “okayish” at best.
Audiences were eager to watch Hrithik Roshan and NTR Jr face each other in high-energy sequences, but the excitement quickly faded. Expectations collapsed as many felt the action lacked impact and the emotional depth simply wasn’t present on screen.
The film’s direction felt half-hearted and the performances didn’t strike a chord with viewers. The action sequences fell flat, and the writing was uninspired, relying more on masala elements instead of weaving a strong, meaningful narrative for the audience.
Despite its huge hype, War 2 has been receiving disappointing reviews across platforms. Some fans have now shifted the discussion toward the writer, questioning whether his upcoming involvement in Ramayana could put such a sensitive and massive project at risk.
Shridhar Raghavan, who wrote War, Pathaan, and Tiger 3, is also co-writing Ramayana. Fans are worried, pointing to the weak execution in War 2 and Tiger 3. They fear Ramayana could face similar issues if the writing does not improve.
Ramayana is an epic story with deep themes that also holds strong religious value for millions. If Raghavan continues on board, fans hope his work changes drastically from War 2, otherwise this ambitious project could face serious criticism.
