At the World Audio Visual Entertainment Summit (WAVES) yesterday, veteran actor Rajinikanth addressed the Pahalgam incident, calling it barbaric and merciless.
He further stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a fighter who will bring peace to Jammu and Kashmir.

The actor reiterated his support and said that PM Modi will rise to any challenge, as he has proven over the past decade.
He added that the Prime Minister would handle the Kashmir situation “bravely and gracefully” and would bring peace to the region and glory to the country.

Along with this, actors like Shah Rukh Khan also shared their condolences for the victims of the attack at the event, calling it “heinous.”

Some users claimed that the Prime Minister is encouraging influential voices from the film industry to praise him with heroic titles in an attempt to shape his public image on a global stage.
The four-day WAVES summit is being attended by people from across the world and aims to foster international connections in the media and entertainment industry.
However, many on social media expressed concern that the Prime Minister is using the summit as a platform to project his strong and courageous image internationally, while, in reality, the government has yet to take concrete steps to resolve the situation in Kashmir.
These users argued that instead of focusing on image-building and public praise, it is high time the government should prioritise taking firm and tangible actions.
