Yash Begins Ramayana

Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana is just about ready to enter production, with Yash being all geared up to fit into his role of Ravana from April’s last week.

Sources have revealed that Yash will continue shooting for both parts of the epic for a whole month, both for his solo pieces, as well as the shared sequences with Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Sunny Deol.

The one-month-long shoot will mostly consist of two phases, with the first part being shot in the first fortnight and vice versa.

This news has revealed the director’s shooting commitment towards both parts, planning to wrap things up in one go, even with a one-year gap between their release dates on Diwali 2026 and Diwali 2027, respectively.

The makers have revealed that a significant part of their focus would be on post-production, to create a piece of cinema that represents ‘India and Indian tales’ at a global level.

While Ranbir’s portrayal of Lord Ram would be pretty straightforward, Yash’s task is expected to be much more complicated, with Ravana having multiple levels of personalities inside him.

However, Yash’s brilliant track record, along with his strong screen presence, gives a reassurance that if anyone is fit enough for this multi-layered portrayal, it definitely is him.

With the first part now a few months away, it will be interesting to see if the cast and crew manage to dodge an Adipurush-styled fiasco to create a phenomenal piece of art for all to experience.
