YRF is facing criticism after reports claimed that a South Indian star has been approached for Dhoom 4. This comes after the huge disappointment of War 2, which starred Hrithik Roshan from Bollywood and Jr. NTR from the South.
Fans had sky-high expectations from the crossover but were left underwhelmed. Many felt that the characters were poorly written and that the acting skills of both stars were wasted because of weak direction and substandard storytelling.
Now, with Ayan Mukerji said to direct Dhoom 4, fans fear another repeat of War 2. They recall how big names like NTR, Prabhas, and Vijay Deverakonda suffered setbacks when collaborating with Bollywood banners like YRF, T-Series, and Dharma Productions.
Social media reactions show strong frustration, with many South fans accusing Bollywood of using their stars only to attract regional markets without giving them meaningful roles. The sentiment is that such collaborations rarely honour the talent of Southern actors.
This has raised serious doubts about whether South stars will risk future Bollywood projects. Fans question if Bollywood-South crossovers have already reached their breaking point after repeated disappointments.
