Dhurandhar 2 Shock: Last Minute Cancellations, Fans Upset

Dhurandhar 2 premiere cancelled update

It has come as a major shock for audiences in the Telugu states who were eagerly waiting for the premiere shows of Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge. The highly anticipated sequel starring Ranveer Singh and directed by Aditya Dhar has faced an unexpected setback in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana just hours before its premiere screenings.

Several planned premiere shows in Telugu have been cancelled due to delays in content delivery. This last-minute development has left many fans disappointed, especially those who had already booked tickets and planned their day around the first shows. In multiple theatres, bookings were either blocked or cancelled, creating confusion among audiences.

The issue is not limited to the Telugu states alone. Reports confirm that paid premiere shows in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana for the dubbed versions have been called off. Instead, theatres are now opting to screen the original Hindi version of the film in those slots.

Cinema chains have also begun responding to the situation. A theatre in Coimbatore confirmed that the Tamil premiere shows had to be scrapped due to the non-availability of the dubbed version. They announced that Hindi shows would replace them and that refunds are being processed for customers who booked tickets for the cancelled shows.

The primary reason behind this disruption appears to be a delay in post-production and content delivery. While the Hindi version of the film was delivered to theatres very late, barely hours before showtime, the Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions were reportedly not ready in time. The dubbing and final processing work had not been completed, making it impossible to screen the regional versions as planned.

Despite this setback, the overall excitement for the film remains high. With a strong cast that includes Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal, the film is still expected to open big at the box office when it releases globally on March 19.

For now, audiences are waiting for clarity from exhibitors and distributors, hoping the regional versions will be made available soon after the initial release.
