There was a strong devotional connect with this film that brought the audience to theatres and substantial numbers. Obviously, the cinematic elements also helped the cause, but the markers are clear.
If this is a benchmark of what is to come for devotional action films, then there is great prospect to be had for the upcoming film of NTR and Trivikram Srinivas.
This recently announced film is based on the Hindu war God of Kumaraswamy and it has virtually endless potential to tap into. This is a lesser explore subject in Indian cinema, and this would be the perfect platform for Trivikram to come up outrageously cinematic stuff.
Ravi Teja made it very clear that the audience are coming to theatres in big numbers for devotional connect films. This can be taken to a whole new level altogether by NTR and Trivikram with the Murugan film.
Big cinematic visuals and the devotional angle are going to be the main pulling factors for this film, and there is a lot of potential to be gained here. It will all come down to the execution and marketing of this film whenever it happens.
