Kiara-Sid Trolled Over Bold Song Then Why Not Yash?

Kiara-Sid Trolled Over Bold Song

The promotions for Toxic have started gradually, but the song Tabahi has grabbed attention for an unexpected reason. Instead of focusing only on the music, social media discussions have centred on Kiara Advani‘s bold appearance in the song, leading to mixed reactions from viewers.

While the filmmakers appear to have presented the song as a romantic sequence, a section of netizens criticised it for being too bold. Some users argued that Kiara Advani should avoid such scenes after marriage, while others questioned why her husband, Siddharth Malhotra, had not responded to the criticism.

The debate gained further momentum after Siddharth Malhotra shared a picture with Kiara Advani on Instagram. The comments section was filled with reactions about the song, with many users debating whether the criticism directed at the actress was justified.

Several social media users compared the situation with Siddharth Malhotra’s song from Param Sundari, where he appeared in romantic rain sequences with Janhvi Kapoor. They pointed out that Siddharth did not face similar criticism at the time, raising questions about the difference in public reaction.

Some users also criticised Siddharth Malhotra, questioning why he had allowed Kiara Advani to take up such scenes. Others strongly opposed this view, arguing that both actors make their own professional choices and should not be judged based on their marital status.

Another section of users highlighted that Yash also appears in Tabahi and is married with children. They questioned why Yash was not criticised in the same way as Kiara Advani. According to them, male actors performing bold scenes are often praised, while female actors face harsher judgement for similar performances.

Many users argued that married actresses are frequently targeted whenever they appear in bold roles. They said actors perform according to the demands of their characters, and personal choices should not be judged based on on-screen performances. Several also stated that the public has no right to decide what is acceptable within a couple’s relationship.

Meanwhile, some critics believe the controversy could work in favour of Toxic at the box office, especially in North India. However, they also feel it is too early to predict whether the film will enjoy a sustained run in the Hindi market.
