Ravi Teja’s ‘Disco Raja’ opened up to mixed talk from all over and it has literally poured water on the hopes of his die-hard fans. However, the success meet held by the makers of the movie today says that the movie is a hit.
Speaking at the meet, Ravi Teja heaped praises on his producer Rajini Talluri saying that the producer doesn’t like the regular and routine movies, i.e., ‘rotta’ movies but likes concept-based movies.
Even Bobby Simha who played a crucial role in the movie and has got a better role to play than others said, though some critics may not have liked it, they had reached the goal as the movie is running to packed theatres, according to him.
Nonetheless, the movie collected $144 so far in the US and that’s definitely not a good sum. Ravi Teja’s highest $449K in the US is ‘Balupu’ and the next highest is Anil Ravipudi’s ‘Raja The Great’ that collected $387 K.
The director, Vi Anand chose a nice core plot but made it into a routine fare after a point of time. That’s how he wasted a good chance to use the different concept that he chose.
