This is not the first time the same journalist has drawn heavy backlash. Last year, during an interaction with Telugu media, he asked Keerthy Suresh why she considered Vijay a better dancer compared to Chiranjeevi. The question put her in an uncomfortable position, though she handled it calmly. When the issue escalated, she even apologized to Mega fans to avoid further controversy.
Fans argue that while journalists have every right to ask about personal preferences, repeatedly trying to extract a specific answer crosses a line. They point out that even Chiranjeevi himself would likely not appreciate someone putting others in awkward situations just to elevate him. Respect cannot be forced.
