Sreeleela has been going through a rough phase in her career. After a series of flops like Robinhood, Skanda, Adi Keshava, Junior, and Extra Ordinary Man, many people in the Telugu film industry began to believe she is not lucky anymore for the Telugu industry. Suddenly, doubts started to rise about her actual potential.
Many felt that filmmakers were choosing her only for her dancing skills and not for her acting talent. They even said that her presence in films was not adding any real value to their projects anymore. Such harsh trolling, though unfair, is how the industry works.
Because of these negative remarks, Sreeleela now urgently needs a resounding hit to prove herself again. Her upcoming movie Mass Jathara has therefore become an extremely crucial project that could decide her future in Telugu cinema. The film stars Ravi Teja as the lead and marks their reunion after Dhamaka, which was a big success.
In Mass Jathara, Sreeleela plays a village girl for the first time and says she even learned the Srikakulam dialect for her role. She practiced the accent diligently and feels confident that both her performance and dialogues will be massy enough to impress the audience.
Sreeleela is now focusing all her energy on promoting the film. She is actively participating in the promotions, more than she did for her previous projects. She is also giving solo interviews, unlike in the past when she gave interviews together with the hero and director. Sreeleela believes Mass Jathara will show a new side of her that audiences have not seen before.
After Mass Jathara, she will be seen in Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh, which she believes might become one of the turning points in her career. If Mass Jathara or Ustaad Bhagat Singh fails, it might be tough for her in Telugu, so Sreeleela already has backup in the form of a couple of decent Bollywood projects with stars like Kartik Aaryan and a promising Tamil film Parasakthi with Siva Karthikeyan, directed by Sudha Kongara.
