Here’s a key update in the Rs 3200 crore AP liquor scam as the remand of the accused ended on Friday. SIT officials brought them from Vijayawada and Guntur jails and presented them before Vijayawada’s ACB Court.
SIT filed a petition seeking an extension of the remand in this case, and the ACB Court accepted the request. The Court extended the remand until December 19, and the officials shifted the accused back to Vijayawada and Guntur.
The accused are Raj Kasireddy, Sajjala Sridhar Reddy, Booneti Chanakya, Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, Venkatesh Naidu and Anil Chokra. From Friday, they remain under judicial remand.
SIT is tracking every link and connection to gather strong evidence against those involved. Courts denied bails for the main accused to prevent them from influencing witnesses.
People across Andhra Pradesh continue to follow the Rs 3200 crore AP liquor case and wait for a clear verdict.
