In a major move in the ₹3,200 crore AP liquor scam, SIT officials raided the properties of YSRCP MP Mithun Reddy. The raids took place at his Hyderabad and Bengaluru residences.
Teams searched Mithun Reddy’s houses in Prashasan Nagar, Jubilee Hills, and Gayatri Hills, Yousufguda. Officials also raided his office in Kondapur, Hyderabad.
Mithun Reddy, who is out on conditional bail, had earlier sought permission to travel to New York to attend a United Nations Conclave. The Rajampet MP spent 71 days in Rajahmundry Central Jail before being granted bail by the ACB Court.
While several accused in the liquor scam are currently out on bail, the SIT continues its probe to uncover more evidence. On Tuesday, the agency received permission to unlock the mobile phone of another accused, Venkatesh Naidu.
