A major development has emerged in the Andhra Pradesh liquor scam case. The Vijayawada ACB Court has directed the police to unlock the phone of one of the accused, Venkatesh Naidu, using his face ID.
SIT officials believe the device could hold crucial evidence related to the scam. The investigation team expects to find key data and videos that may help trace the flow of money and identify those involved.
Earlier, police seized ₹11 crore from a farmhouse on the outskirts of Hyderabad. The SIT suspects that important videos linked to the scam were retrieved by Venkatesh Naidu, who is listed as Accused No. 34 in the case.
Venkatesh Naidu had reportedly worked as a personal assistant to Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, another accused in the ₹3,200 crore liquor scam. Based on this connection, he was named in the case.
After receiving court approval, the SIT has fast-tracked the investigation, connecting various leads to uncover how the massive liquor scam operated. Officials are confident that the unlocked phone will help reveal vital details soon.
