It has become a sensation in Andhra Pradesh after an International News Agency published an article of Kia Motors planning to shift from Anantapur to Tamil Nadu. The article said there were preliminary talks and the Secretary-level talks would happen the next week.
Andhra Pradesh Government vehemently refuted any such possibility. Meanwhile, the issue has rocked the Parliament, as well as TDP MPs, raked the issue. YSRCP MP Midhun Reddy clarified that the reports are false and Kia is not going anywhere.
It would have been good if he stopped there but Midhun Reddy went on to say that the previous TDP regime tried to give 1000 Crore worth land to a Dummy Company called Franklin Temple Town (He actually meant Franklin Templeton). Someone tweeted the video to Franklin Templeton’s official twitter account.
“We’ve been serving investors in India for over two decades and you may kindly visit our website to know more about us,” they tweeted back embarrassing the Ruling Party MP’s lack of knowledge. For those who do not know, Franklin Templeton is a well-known global investment management firm, founded in 1947!
‘Franklin temple town’ is a dummy company: MP Midhun Reddy 🤢
