
The YSRCP government tried to take over the lands, but once the alliance government came to power, they are working towards developing Tarluvada into an IT hub. It intends to provide employment for thousands of people.
The alliance government is trying to restore Visakhapatnam’s image as a IT center. It is striving to attract more companies to the district.

Apart from Rushikonda’s IT Hills, the AP government is planning to identify more places to facilitate setting up of companies. One such place is Tarluvada in Anandapuram mandal of Bhimili constituency.
Near the Tarluvada hill, under survey No 1, 1080 acres of land is available. The place is next to the national highway and has pleasant weather due to the hills.

In the past, 9 acres were allotted to AP Skill Development Center and 7 acres were allotted for Model High School. Now, the government is making plans to allot 200 acres for IT hub. As per Vizag collector’s directives, the mandal revenue officers conducted a survey and are in the process of submitting a report.
They identified that D-pattas were given in 100 acres. The farmers are growing mango and cashew crops in the lands, it was found. Hence, another survey is being done to identify land grabbers and those having D-pattas.

Once the land is acquired, it will be given to APIIC and kept aside for IT hub.
If one goes back, the lands in Tarluvada were eyed by ex YSRCP member Vijaysai Reddy. He wanted 100 acres for the private varsity that his daughter was planning to set up. He visited the land many times with a surveyor. During those days, it was a topic of discussion in political circles.
When the past government tried to give lands to a battery firm, the locals had protested. However, now, farmers have come forward to give their private lands to the government.
The IT hub in Tarluvada will provide jobs to 10,000 to 15,000 people, shared ex minister, Bhimili MLA Ganta Srinivas.
