Despite the best efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself, Karnataka has given a decisive and humiliating mandate against the BJP. Congress has got the biggest boost after that spree of defeats since 2014.
The defeat came as a shock and humiliation for Modi and the entire ecosystem. But once the results were out, the Prime Minister himself let out a congratulatory message on Twitter to Congress.
We know that it is a formality but that is how politics work.
But there is a stoic silence in Andhra Pradesh about Karnataka elections. Jagan, Chandrababu Naidu, and Pawan Kalyan did not utter a word about the Karnataka elections as if they never happened.
They can easily send a formality tweet at least but they can not afford to take a chance to irk the Prime Minister for any reason. So, they are being more cautious than Modi himself.
That is the tragedy of Andhra Pradesh. Before 2019, every party looked like defying Modi and Central Government.
But after seeing the arm-twisting of the Chandrababu Naidu Government by the Central Government during the Election season, everyone is scared about Modi. Jagan has the burden of the cases of disproportionate assets and YS Viveka.
Chandrababu does not want to take a risk again and Pawan Kalyan feels like a close friend of the BJP even after all those insults.
The other day, Pawan Kalyan was tweeting in Hindi while mentioning the police brutality on a BJP leader during a protest.
Sadly, BJP enjoys the support from all parties despite doing nothing for Andhra Pradesh and going back on all promises after the bifurcation.
