The recent controversy around Kova Bun vendor Vali from Kurnool has become a serious talking point. Vali, a small trader known for selling Kova Buns at fairs and public gatherings, was targeted in a viral video where some individuals questioned the quality of his food and reportedly linked the issue to his religion. The video spread widely and created tension.
Many felt that a small vendor was publicly humiliated. Food safety checks should be done by authorities, but confronting and shaming a street trader in public brought sympathy towards Vali.
Andhra Pradesh minister Nara Lokesh reacted quickly. In a post on X, he said he would soon meet Vali and even expressed interest in tasting his Kova Bun. He clearly stated that behaviour which disturbs unity has no place in society and assured support to the vendor.
Lokesh choosing to meet Vali personally turns this into more than a social media issue. It sends a message that the government stands with small traders when they face harassment. Politically, it strengthens his image as a leader who responds quickly and stands for social harmony.
This is not the first time Lokesh has engaged directly with ordinary citizens. During his Yuva Galam padayatra, he met youth, farmers and small traders, highlighting their concerns. His style of politics focuses on visible outreach and direct support.
In this case, his response supports a small trader, reinforces unity, and positions him as a leader attentive to ground level issues.
