Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu repeatedly mentions that he is a changed man and will be showing the ‘Chandrababu of 1995’ very soon. The 1995 Chandrababu is the best version of Chandrababu Naidu in Politics and Governance.
ABN RK in his Weekend Analysis says that is not happening.
RK says Chandrababu is not doing enough to strengthen the party politically and also is not focusing on grooming the leadership for the next elections.
“Chandrababu will be in his 80s by 2029. He may be physically fit now but we can not say anything. Lokesh, on the other hand, is struggling to emerge as a leader in the shadow of Chandrababu. Pawan Kalyan is not bankable. He is in the BJP’s control. Things can change any time,” RK is saying.
“Chandrababu is not able to control some party MLAs. Bringing industries and finishing Amaravati and Polavaram can not bring votes. The only way to clear the route for Lokesh and the transfer of power in 2029 is to hit Jagan politically. Only then, YSR Congress will be out of the equation, and winning 2029 can be easy. Chandrababu’s current approach on the cases does not look promising,” he added.
RK asks Chandrababu to get inspired by Modi. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has become the Prime Minister for three terms. Along with Modi, the BJP also grew. Chandrababu should learn from Modi how to control the opponents and how to bring them to his way,” he said.
RK says Chandrababu and Lokesh are not bothered about the future and are busy day in day out distancing themselves from the cadre.
“Chandrababu should remember the bitter experiences between 2019 and 2024. If Chandrababu does not take the right path from now on, the groups and individuals who supported him between 2019-and 2024 will also distance themselves from him. It would be better for Chandrababu if he changes himself keeping in mind the problems he may face in 2029,” RK warns.
