He stresses the difference between Tollywood and the Telangana movement, questioning why Andhra’s MM Keeravani was chosen to compose the anthem of Telangana.

The Telangana Cine Musicians Association also has voiced concerns to CM Revanth Reddy, urging him to reconsider the decision to have a non-local composer craft the state anthem.
They argue that involving out-of-state musicians contradicts the essence of Telangana’s movement and advocates for local talent to be prioritized.
Previously, MM Keeravani was tasked by the CM to compose the melody for “Jaya Jaya He Telangana,” with lyrics penned by Telangana poet Andesri.
The new version of the song which will be unveiled on June 2 is a modern interpretation of the original, reflecting the spirit of Telangana’s rich culture.
