Telangana is one of the crucial South Indian states with a significant electoral population. Now there is a significant development with regard to ongoing SIR procedure that is being implemented by the election commission.
According to the latest draft that was released by the election commission as many as 92 lakh votes are under scrutiny in Telangana and as many people could be getting notices from the commission.
Over 2.64 crore of 3.38 crore electors (78.3%) submitted enumeration forms, while 73.39 lakh entries are flagged as shifted, absent, deceased or multiple enrolments.
It is being established that as many as 92,00,000 voters in Telangana could be getting notices from the election commission to prove their authenticity of vote here in the state.
This will be one of the biggest electoral drives committed by the election commission in recent times, and it could have a significant effect on the upcoming electoral outcome in Telangana.
Nearly one out of every four votes in Telangana is under question now, and they will have to establish adequate proofs that these votes indeed belong to this state.
Large migrated population from Andhra Pradesh and other parts of the country could be a contributing factor to the questioning on the validity of these votes. It is known that the election commission has been very particular about one person, one vote as any duplication isn’t being tolerated.
