Did Pawan Kalyan Push NDA Path To Vijay?

A recent social media post by journalist Sandhya Ravishankar has stirred political discussion in Tamil Nadu, raising questions about possible alliance dynamics ahead of the next elections.

According to the claim, Pawan Kalyan is said to have advised actor turned politician Vijay that aligning with the NDA could improve his electoral prospects. The suggestion reportedly centres on the idea that Vijay’s newly launched political platform may benefit from an established alliance network rather than entering the contest alone.

Vijay recently launched his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, positioning himself as a new force in Tamil Nadu politics. However, new political entrants in the state often face structural challenges, including organisational depth, booth level networks and coalition arithmetic. In that context, speculation about possible alliances has quickly gained attention.

The social media post also claimed that senior BJP leader Nainar Nagendran has already spoken with Vijay regarding potential cooperation. It further suggested that K. Annamalai may meet Vijay in the coming days.

Another dimension to the discussion involves K. S. Radhakrishnan, who is reportedly believed to have facilitated communication between Pawan Kalyan and circles tracking Tamil Nadu’s evolving political equations.

If such conversations are indeed taking place, they point to a larger strategic question. Tamil Nadu has historically been dominated by strong regional parties. For a new entrant like Vijay, the choice between contesting independently and aligning with a national coalition could shape the trajectory of his political debut.

At the same time, these claims remain unverified. There has been no official confirmation from Vijay’s party, the NDA leadership or Pawan Kalyan regarding any alliance discussions.

Still, the buzz itself reflects the level of curiosity around Vijay’s political journey. As Tamil Nadu moves closer to another election cycle, every signal about alliances, even indirect ones, is likely to generate intense speculation in the state’s highly competitive political landscape.
