Hyderabad has always recorded very poor polling percentage. The urbane population is active when it comes to posting social media stuff criticising politicians and politics in general, but go numb when the actual thing matters, casting the vote, comes up.
The same thing is happening this time around as well. Hyderabad is seeing shockingly low polling trends in the first few hours.
Down below is look at the abysmal voter turnout figures in the MLA constituencies in Hyderabad.
Disastrous Voter Turnout in Hyderabad:
Till 9 AM: 4.57%
Nampally: 0.5%
Sanath Nagar: 1.2%
Kukatpally: 1.9%
Medchal: 2%
Goshamahal: 2%
Charminar: 3%
Musheerabad: 4%
Rajendranagar: 15%
The very fact that Nampally has seen 0.5% voter turnout shows the abysmal performance as far as voter turnout is concerned.
GHMC Area Voting Until 11 AM:
Hyderabad: 12.39%
Ranga Reddy: 16.83%
Medchal: 14.74%
This is much much lower than the average percentage of 20.64% back in 2018. As it appears, Hyderabad is heading for another disaster in this year’s election.
Telangana Voting Percentage: Upto 3 PM: 51.89% (3 PM, 2018 Elections: (56.17%)
Highest: Medak (69.33%) Lowest: Hyderabad (31.17%)
