It appears that the ruling YSRCP in Andhra Pradesh is actively searching for a strong candidate to contest from the Narsapuram Parliament segment in the upcoming general elections. The current MP from Narsapuram, Raghu Rama Krishnam Raju (RRR), who won the seat as a YSRCP candidate in the 2019 elections, has turned against YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and the YSRCP.
RRR has been openly criticizing his own party and exposing irregularities of the YSRCP government. RRR has become a rebel within the YSRCP, and despite complaints made against him to the Lok Sabha Speaker by YSRCP’s parliamentary leader Vijay Sai Reddy in 2020, he has not been disqualified.

RRR has openly challenged the YSRCP high command to suspend him from the party and has stated that he will contest from Narsapuram either with Jana Sena or TDP, but not on the YSRCP’s B-Form. Given these circumstances, the YSRCP has started searching for a strong candidate to contest from Narsapuram. Since the Kshatriya community has a dominant presence in the segment, the party is specifically looking for a candidate from the same community.
YSRCP MP Peddireddy Mithun Reddy is reportedly in contact with Shyamala Devi, the wife of former MP Krishnam Raju, to convince her to contest from Narsapuram. The YSRCP believes that Shyamala Devi, if she agrees, could be a strong candidate acceptable to all, considering the party’s perceived partisan treatment of the Kshatriya community over the past four years.

However, it should be noted that Shyamala Devi has not yet accepted the proposal sent by the YSRCP. The situation is still unfolding, and it remains to be seen who will ultimately contest from the Narsapuram Parliament segment in the upcoming elections.
