Battala Srinivasulu Reddy arrest case

Badvel YSRCP leader Battala Srinivasulu Reddy was arrested in Hyderabad by Kadapa Chinnachouku police. Ahead of the elections, he posted abusive comments against CM Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, Nara Lokesh, and several TDP ministers. He also targeted their family members on social media.

Following these posts, Kadapa TDP leaders lodged a complaint at the Chinnachouku police station. Police registered a case at that time. Apart from Chinnachouku, similar cases were filed against Srinivasulu Reddy in multiple locations.

After the Chandrababu government came to power, Battala reportedly fled to the Gulf. Police later issued lookout notices. He arrived in Hyderabad on Monday, after which airport authorities alerted the Kadapa police.

Chinnachouku police immediately reached Hyderabad and took him into custody. He is now being taken to Kadapa for further legal proceedings. The arrest follows renewed action in cases that were pending earlier.

During the YSRCP rule, party leaders and cadre made coordinated and sharp remarks against TDP leaders. These comments had triggered public outrage at the time and led to several complaints being filed across the state.
