Amul, the dairy behemoth, resorted to Twitter to clarify that a viral video showing fungus-laden lassi was a hoax. The firm made a statement in order to raise awareness about the false video.
Amul released a photo of the lassi packet on Twitter and assured customers that no such occurrence had been reported.
“We can see in the video that the packs have been damaged by the straw hole area.” The video also shows that liquid is flowing from this hole. The fungal growth in these packets is caused by this hole, which the creator of the video is most likely aware of,” according to the article.
“Please be advised that a bogus message about poor quality Amul Lassi is being circulated on WhatsApp and social media platforms.” “Neither the creator of the video nor the location have contacted us for clarification,” it said.
The clarifying post has been read over 742k times, and people have breathed a sense of relief over the situation. Amul was founded on December 19, 1946, in reaction to dealers and agents exploiting local dairy producers.
