This shocking intrusion into a citizen’s home is not only criminal, but it also signals a disturbing trend of emboldened hooliganism backed by individuals with political or bureaucratic links.
That a BBMP staffer could be directly involved in such an act underlines the alarming erosion of institutional integrity and the shamelessness of criminals who now seem to act without fear of consequences. Public anger is growing, with many demanding to know why local law enforcement failed to prevent or swiftly respond to such an incident.
