Swarn Prasadam gold mithai Jaipur

Diwali has always been about joy, light, and indulgence. Over time, sweets have become more creative, but this year, Jaipur has taken luxury to another level with a golden twist to its festive treats.

A boutique outlet named Tyohaar has introduced mithai infused with 24-carat gold and silver, transforming traditional sweets into symbols of luxury. The creation has drawn both fascination and debate over how festivals are evolving in India’s modern cities.

Located in Vaishali Nagar, Tyohaar’s signature offering, Swarn Prasadam, costs ₹1.11 lakh per kilogram. The rich confection is crafted using Swarna Bhasma (edible gold ash), saffron, pine nuts, and delicate silver-gold leaf, blending artistry with indulgence.

Entrepreneur Anjali Jain, a Chartered Accountant turned confectioner, says the idea comes from Ayurveda. The use of edible gold, once prized in Ayurvedic traditions, adds both health symbolism and a regal touch to the sweet.

While many view this as sheer opulence, it also reflects India’s ability to merge heritage with innovation. The humble mithai, once a symbol of shared joy, now wears a new identity — luxury wrapped in nostalgia.

Whether you see it as art, extravagance, or craftsmanship, Jaipur’s golden mithai captures the spirit of modern Indian festivals — rooted in tradition yet eager to shine brighter every year.
