SRH has already retained two opening batsmen – Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma for the coming edition of the competition. This brings us to the question – can SRH bag another gun top order player like Jos Buttler who is available in the auction?
After being let go by the Rajasthan Royals side, Buttler is available in the auction and this would leave the top sides going after him.
Buttler has been one of the best whiteball players in the game for nearly half a decade now. He is incredibly consistent in the IPL as well, making him a perfect buy.
Though Buttler might be an opener, he can perfectly fit into the top order as well. If he gets slotted at opening or 1 down position, then SRH could well have the most destructive top order in all of IPL.
An explosive opening order of Head, Buttler, and Sharma would make any team sweat their pants. This is the kind of hardened batting line ups that can help a team win any league. It has to be seen if this is actually in the planning of the SRH franchise for it to be made possible.
