Leftover Thums Up Reused at Stadiums? Fans Outrage

Thums Up reuse claim at Delhi stadium

Buying a cold drink at a cricket stadium is routine for fans. Soft drinks like Thums Up are usually served in paper cups instead of sealed bottles. However, a viral video from Delhi has raised concerns about hygiene and fair practices.

The video, shared widely on social media, is said to be recorded at Arun Jaitley Stadium. It allegedly shows scenes from an ICC Men’s T20 World Cup match held at the venue.

In the clip, a man appears to pour leftover Thums Up from used paper cups back into a bottle. The person filming claims the collected drink is reused and served again during future matches.

Many social media users have expressed anger after watching the video. Fans feel such practices are unsafe and unfair, especially when high prices are charged for food and drinks inside stadiums.

Several users have labelled the incident a scam and demanded strict action. Many have tagged the organisers along with the Thums Up brand, seeking clarity and accountability.

At the same time, some viewers believe the issue is being exaggerated. A few users pointed out that the bottle shown cannot be resealed and legally sold again.

According to them, the drink could be for personal use or meant to be discarded later. They argue there is no clear proof that it was reused for selling to fans.

So far, there is no official response from the Delhi and District Cricket Association or the match organisers. The video remains unverified, and the claims have not been confirmed.

Even if the allegations are false, the clip has sparked debate about food safety at major cricket events. With more World Cup matches scheduled in Delhi, fans expect better monitoring and clear answers.
