Following the terrible failure of Kara, Dhanush is now starring as the lead in the spy action thriller film OM directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy and it is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on October 16th.
After Om, Dhanush also has a commercial entertainer film with Tamizharasan Pachamuthu, a historical film with Mari Selvaraj and the Tamizh Murugan project with Vetrimaaran in his lineup.
In this scenario, for the last few weeks, there has been strong speculation that Dhanush is going to act in a jungle-based adventure film directed by PS Mithran and produced by legendary Bollywood director Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
While many people didn’t believe this and claimed that it was just a baseless rumour, strong reports now suggest that the project is well and truly on and the makers of this film are planning to rope in Kareena Kapoor to play the female lead.
These recent reports have come as a huge surprise to the entire Bollywood industry, as Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali have always remained on opposite sides due to some casting-oriented issues for the film Devdas back in 2000.
After that issue, for nearly the last 2.5 decades, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali didn’t collaborate on any project. In this case, if the recent speculation proves true, it would wipe the slate clean for both and result in a massive collaboration.
Meanwhile, Dhanush fans have already started celebrating this update, believing that this project will showcase the true pan-Indian potential of Dhanush and if this project becomes a successful venture, it would help Dhanush elevate as a top star.
Ultimately, there are still no official updates on this project and it remains to be seen whether Dhanush and Kareena Kapoor Khan will collaborate for this jungle film and if they do, how this project will take shape in the future.
