A simple trip on a US flight turned into chaos for one man on an adjustment of status (AOS). Taking to social media, the man shared his troublesome experience with Delta Airlines.
The man claims that despite holding a valid EAD/Advanced Parole combo card, Delta Airlines refused to let him board. The airline staff allegedly claimed he didn’t have a valid visa and insisted on a physical I-512 paper form.

A missed flight, fear of being stuck abroad, and legal chaos followed. It was only quashed after a lawyer stepped in and got CBP (Customs and Border Protection) to confirm that the combo card was valid. Delta then allowed him to fly back a day later.
This incident is a clear reminder that not all airline staff, or even border officials, are on the same page when it comes to immigration documents. Especially lesser-known ones like the combo card.

So if you’re travelling with such documents, take no chances. Carry backup paperwork, and lawyer contacts, and arrive hours early because a misinformed airline employee can derail your entire journey.
