Telangana Techie Murder: “Don’t Send Your Kids to US”

Anshul Kuncha family after tragedy

The tragic murder of 28-year-old Telangana software engineer Anshul Kuncha in Philadelphia has left his family shattered and prompted an emotional appeal that is resonating across social media.

Anshul, a native of Gundlapochampally in Medchal district, near Hyderabad was working as a software engineer in the United States. To supplement his income, he also worked part-time as a pizza delivery driver on weekends.

According to reports, Anshul was shot dead on Saturday night after responding to a pizza delivery request. His family suspects the order was fake and believes he was deliberately lured to the location by the attackers.

Relatives point out that no cash, valuables, or personal belongings were taken from him, strengthening their belief that robbery was not the motive.

Philadelphia police have launched an investigation and are reportedly tracing the phone number used to place the delivery order.

However, beyond the investigation, it is the grief of Anshul’s family that has touched many people.

Speaking to the media, his sister Tanvi broke down. The emotional impact on the family has been devastating. In an emotional appeal, Tanvi expressed regret over encouraging her brother to move abroad.

“My brother never really needed to go to America. He was not even keen on going. We convinced him that he would have a brighter future there. Now he is returning home as a body,” she said.

In her anguish, Tanvi also made an emotional appeal to parents.

“Please don’t send your children to America. We thought he would have a better future there. We never imagined something like this could happen.”

Her heartbreaking words have struck a chord with many families in Telangana, particularly those whose children are studying or working abroad.

While investigators continue to search for those responsible, Anshul’s family is left grappling with an unimaginable loss and the painful belief that the dream they encouraged him to pursue ultimately cost him his life.
