Now, Netflix’s upcoming spy thriller “Saare Jahan Se Accha” might just be his chance to create the magic on screen once more.

Set against the backdrop of 1970s India-Pakistan nuclear tension, this show will portray him as a R&AW agent who was working at that time, inspired by several instances like this. Gandhi will have a big responsibility with this show.

This role is the most promising character he’s played since his breakout.

Directed by Sumit Purohit, one of the minds behind Scam 1992, the show carries expectations of both scale and substance.

With the budget being ₹100 cr.

But the real question is can Gandhi recapture that same magic?

If the writing supports him, and the character resonates, “Saare Jahan Se Accha” could mark a turning point.
