Sharvari will be seen alongside Alia Bhatt in Alpha, a women led spy action film scheduled for theatrical release on April 17, 2026. The project places both actors at the centre of a large scale commercial action narrative.
The film marks the first women centric story to headline the YRF Spy Universe. This space has largely been dominated by male led franchises, making Alpha a significant shift within the established action brand.
In a recent interview, Sharvari described working with Alia Bhatt as a formative experience. She said sharing screen space with an actor of Alia’s stature offered insight into a disciplined and focused creative process.
Sharvari explained that observing Alia’s preparation and performance approach influenced her own work. Rather than framing the collaboration as aspirational, she described it as a learning phase that will shape her future projects.
Speaking about Alpha as a concept, Sharvari stressed the importance of timing. She acknowledged that women led action films remain limited in mainstream Hindi cinema and require strong commitment to succeed.
She noted that projects like Alpha test whether such films can sustain scale, spectacle and audience interest. According to her, hesitation or lack of conviction could slow momentum for similar ventures.
Directed by Shiv Rawail and produced by Aditya Chopra, Alpha is set within the YRF Spy Universe. The franchise includes films such as Tiger, War and Pathaan, and has established a distinct action template.
The film reportedly combines high stakes espionage with large scale action across global locations. It also aims to give its lead characters emotional depth within the spectacle driven narrative.
Bobby Deol plays the antagonist in the film. Alpha is expected to expand the scope of the spy universe, though its long term impact will depend on balancing familiar formulas with a fresh perspective.
