BO: English Film Beats Hindi Film In India!

Baaghi 4 vs Conjuring box office

In a rare turn of events, an English film has outperformed a big-banner Hindi movie on its opening day. The Conjuring: Last Rites has beaten Baaghi 4, which stars Tiger Shroff and Sanjay Dutt.

As per box office reports, Baaghi 4 collected around ₹11 crore nett on day one in India. Despite being part of a popular franchise and having action appeal, the film opened to very average numbers.

Audience interest seemed low, and that clearly reflected in the poor opening. For a film with a franchise tag and well-known actors, this is a big letdown.

On the other hand, The Conjuring: Last Rites opened with an impressive ₹17 crore nett on its first day in India. This is a strong start for an English-language horror film.

Such numbers indicate a major shift in audience preferences. More viewers now seem open to English content over traditional Bollywood offerings, especially when the quality and genre resonate well.

For Tiger Shroff, Baaghi 4 could turn out to be another major setback. If collections do not pick up over the weekend, this film might be listed among the biggest flops of his career.
