Police teams are reportedly conducting raids as part of the investigation. The action was confirmed through an official update shared on the X handle of the Haryana Police, highlighting the seriousness of the case.

The FIR dated March 6, 2026 has been registered at the Cyber Police Station, Sector 20, Panchkula. The case has been filed under Section 296 of the Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS) and Sections 3 and 4 of the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, 1986.

The controversy mainly centres around the music video of Tateeree, which many viewers criticised online. Critics claimed the video shows women in school uniforms performing provocative dance moves to controversial lyrics.

One of the lines in the song, “Aya Badshah doli chadhne, in sabki ghodi banane,” has drawn particular criticism on social media platforms. Several users argued that the imagery and lyrics were inappropriate and offensive.

Police officials also pointed out that the video allegedly shows minor girls in school uniforms throwing away their bags and running away from studies. Authorities are examining whether the portrayal violates legal and ethical norms.

During the investigation, officials discovered that a Haryana Roadways bus from the Jind depot appears in the music video. Police are now checking whether the production team had obtained proper permission to use the government vehicle.

Authorities are also verifying whether a government school premise shown in the video was used with official approval. If it is found that required permissions were not taken, legal action may be taken against those responsible.

As of now, Badshah or his team have not released any official statement regarding the FIR or the ongoing controversy surrounding the song Tateeree.
