Recently, Akshay Kumar’s production house sued the veteran actor for leaving the film halfway and demanded Rs 25 crore in damages.
The latest that we know is that Paresh has returned Rs 11 lakh that he took as an advance, along with 15% interest to the makers.

So, here’s the back story. Akshay Kumar and Firoz Nadiadwala had approached Paresh Rawal with a Rs 15 crore deal. He got the advance and was even onboard, until he saw the contract.
This was about a clause that delayed the actor’s full payment until a month after the film’s release, possibly in 2027. With no clarity on when, or if, the film would be made, Paresh walked out, returning the advance amount.
