Jawed Habib and his son Anos Habib have been booked in 23 fraud cases over a Bitcoin scam. Police said they allegedly cheated people of about ₹7 crore through an investment scheme that promised high returns.
Superintendent of Police Krishna Kumar Vishnoi confirmed that the duo ran a company called FLC. They lured investors by offering returns between 50 and 70 percent a year on Bitcoin purchases. Many people trusted the name and invested, believing it was genuine.
