Dharma Productions is venturing into action territory with Malayalam director Haneef Adeni on a high-octane action thriller.
Adeni’s films are known for their intense and violence ridden storytelling and this will be his Hindi directorial debut. The film is being described as a non-stop bloody actioner.

With Bollywood embracing South Indian sensibilities more than ever, this could be a big change for Dharma.
Adeni has made films like The Great Father (2017), Mikhael (2019) and Marco (2024) all of which are known for their gritty action and engaging narratives.

Marco was particularly violent and had realistic action sequences. Dharma has been expanding their slate.
Recently they introduced a distribution wing and are venturing into different genres. This film will take Dharma further into high impact action storytelling.

The biggest question is will Dharma let Adeni make the film the way he wants to or will they tone it down and make it more commercial.
Adeni’s action sequences are brutal and realistic whereas Dharma’s past action films have been more stylized.
If Dharma gives Adeni full creative freedom this could redefine action cinema in Bollywood. Otherwise it will be a watered down Bollywood version of his work.
No cast announced yet but speculations are high. Adeni’s films need rugged and brooding protagonists, unlike Dharma’s romantic action heroes.
Will they take a bold step with someone like Vikrant Massey or bring in a mass action star like Yash?
The casting will tell if Dharma is serious about Adeni’s storytelling or just using his name for the hype.
Dharma’s decision to work with Adeni means they are making a strategic shift in their storytelling. If they stick to his vision this film could take action to the next level.
But if they impose their formula it will be just another commercial entertainer. Either way this is interesting as it could bring raw and intense action to mainstream Hindi cinema.
