SRK’s Sequel Delays Zombie Film: Big Mistake?

Ranveer Singh Zombie Film

Don 3 has been a hot topic discussion for a while now, ever since the makers associated with it announced that Ranveer Singh has been roped in for the third instalment.

While fans of Shah Rukh Khan were disappointed with the new development, Farhan Akhtar reassured everyone that the baton had to be passed on, and that Ranveer was the perfect fit.

However, due to multiple delays, the film shoot, which was originally scheduled to begin last year, is yet to take off.

Reportedly, Farhan is too busy shooting for his upcoming film 120 Bahadur. He has been aiming to wrap up the film before starting Don 3.

Sources now reveal that the project’s work has been pushed to mid-2026. The postponement of the film seems to have affected Ranveer Singh, who was eagerly waiting to start with it.

Who wouldn’t want to continue the legacy of Shah Rukh Khan right? That too, in a film installment like Don!

Ranveer, who has finished shooting a large portion of another film, Dhurandhar, was supposed to produce another film under his banner Maa Kasam Films.

However, the postponement of Don 3’s shoot has affected this VFX heavy film too which is reportedly based on zombies. It is supposed to be directed by Jai Mehta of Scam 1992 and Lootere fame.

This leaves Ranveer with just one project at hand as of now, which is Dhurandhar. Although a majority of the shoot is already done, the release date of the film is yet to be announced.

The actor has given us some excellent performances in films like Padmaavat, Gully Boy, and so on. However, he hasn’t been seen in any film after Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani which was released in 2023.

Ranveer definitely had high hopes with Don 3, but with the film being shelved for a later date, it’s still to be seen what other plans the actor has right now.
