Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari was expected to bring back the charm of Saiyaara, but it has failed to recreate that magic. The rom-com, which featured Varun Dhawan and Jahnvi Kapoor, left fans underwhelmed from the start.
Even before its release, audiences found the trailer unconvincing. Those who still watched the movie in theatres later said it was even more disappointing than expected.
Viewers felt the film tried too hard to cater to a youth audience that exists only in the imagination of Bollywood filmmakers. Today’s young moviegoers want fresh storytelling, not recycled romance served with forced comedy.
What made Saiyaara work was its strong writing and heartfelt narrative. The chemistry between the lead actors felt natural because they were well-prepared for their roles. In contrast, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari lacked depth and genuine emotion.
Even Rohit Saraf and Sanya Malhotra, who had smaller yet promising roles, couldn’t shine. Their performances were overshadowed by the flat, repetitive acts of Varun Dhawan and Jahnvi Kapoor.
Fans are now expressing disappointment and demanding more originality from upcoming Bollywood romances. They want stories that connect, not just glossy, formula-driven love stories that fade soon after release.
