Vivek Agnihotri Slams John Abraham

In a recent interview, director Vivek Agnihotri openly criticized John Abraham’s acting skills in their 2007 film Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal.

Vivek claimed that, despite being the lead, John struggled with basic dialogue delivery and even requested that his lines be shortened because he couldn’t deliver five sentences in rhythm.

He further went on to question why actors who lack preparedness or acting skills should be paid crores.

While Vivek’s take might seem noteworthy, it is somewhat ironic. In 2007, John Abraham was a major Bollywood star. At that point, his career included hits like Dhoom, Garam Masala, and Taxi No. 9211, which were both commercial and critical successes.

Meanwhile, Vivek’s filmography included flops like Chocolate and Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal, making him a relatively lesser-known figure in the industry.

Social media users believe that, after no notable success following The Kashmir Files, Vivek’s decision to publicly slam John appears more as an effort to stay relevant than as genuine criticism.

Vivek’s comments degrading other artists, while he himself hasn’t delivered anything notable, seem condescending.

John has never been acclaimed for his acting, but his screen presence has accounted for his success.

Social media users remain divided. Some agree with Vivek’s claims, while others are challenging him to try and deliver just one hit as iconic as John’s 2000s filmography.
