It seems Netflix has made it a mission to torture their Telugu audience in the most brutal way, and that too within a span of two weeks.
Megastar Chiranjeevi’s ultra-disaster Bhola Shankar made its OTT debut last week on Netflix, and the OTT response was similar to theatrical’s.
Out of the few who dared to watch it on Netflix, they are bashing it for its outdated story, bland narration, and cringe content. Many are shocked that Chiranjeevi could accept such a cheap film at this stage of his career.
A few days ago, Gopichand’s washout movie Ramabanam also made its way to OTT after many weeks of its theatrical release.
The film sprung a surprise by trending at the top spot on Netflix India’s movie charts after its OTT debut. But after seeing the movie, people are cursing themselves for wasting their valuable time by watching such trash.
Now, Varun Tej’s mega-disaster movie Gandeevadhari Arjuna is going to make its OTT premiere on Netflix on September 24.
The film didn’t even live up to the minimum expectations of the audience. Many felt it was worse than Praveen Sattaru’s last film, The Ghost. The makers and buyers suffered a loss of more than 20 crores. We have to see how the OTT audience will respond to the film.
All in all, it’s a back-to-back triple ‘Bonanza’ from Netflix for the Telugu digital audience.
